Personal Tidbits
* I am a small-town, country-girl-at-heart, living in sprawling Houston, TX.
* I find delight in a good cup of coffee, a hearty laugh, and Blue Bell Ice Cream.
* I am an almost daily exerciser.
* Between my husband of 22 years, my college boys, and our Rat Terrier named Copper, I am the only female in our household.
* I am both weak and strong and feeble and fierce. I experience it all, and I bet you do, too.
“It’s your reaction to adversity, not adversity itself that determines how your life’s story will develop”
– Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Ten “About Me” Facts
|
1. I was voted in junior high to be the instructor of the Sit and Be Fit tv show when I grow up. (maybe, just maybe it’ll come true.) 2. I was competitive on the powerlifting team in high school and college. My deadlift max was 308 lbs. 3. I’m a third generation Fightin’ Texas Aggie. 4. I’ve only ever lived in Texas. And, I love it here, yall! 5. I don’t love small talk and I’m not very good at it either. I’d much rather have a real, deep conversation. 6. My friends and family call me for food ideas. My chocolate chip cookies are literally award-winning. 7. Get me close to a dance floor and I’ll probably be on it. 8. I can easily get over-stimulated and want to “curl up in my turtle shell.” 9. My babies were BIG. One was 9 lbs. 10 oz. and the other was 9 lbs. 13.5 oz.. 10. I’m most at peace in the woods, on a hiking trail. (The Arkansas State Parks are calling my name.) 11. Bonus, because I love bonuses – I was a pure, bonafide, devastated wreck when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 37 years old. It has had a big impact on the formation and foundation of No Knockouts. |

The Good, bad, and Ugly
The School of Life helps us learn and grow wise.
Work Hard = Get Good
There are no shortcuts. You don’t get stronger without lifting heavy weights. You don’t get wiser unless you live through experiences.
Advanced degree in Grit
Success is earned. Wisdom is earned. Perseverance is challenged. Grit is practiced. And, resilience is grown. Greater grit equals greater strength.
I want you to know…
♥ You are not alone in your struggles. Struggling is part of being human.
♥ You can learn to train your brain to be more in control so you aren’t often “lost in thought” feeling defeated, helpless, overwhelmed, exhausted, empty, lost, unfulfilled, sadness, distress, grief, or many other things.
♥ You can learn to be more in control and less controlled.
♥ In life, sometimes you are on offense and sometimes you have to play defense. Like any game, life isn’t always good, fair, and kind. You can equip yourself to a better life. Practice and strategy are required.
♥ You can be better than you are today. Much better! You can achieve your goals and reach your potential. You can find your passion and feel alive (again). You can find your personal power. Your dreams await you!
Pain -> Purpose
Blood, Sweat, and Tears
“”I know how to pout. I know how to self-loathe and sit in my own pity party. I know how to feel guilty, critical and judgmental.
I also know how to grit and grind my way through life. I can have a goal and reach it. I can be both an ugly-face-crier in the shower and unstoppable.
But at what expense? Do I really have to have this full spectrum of emotions, drama and overwhelm? It’s exhausting!!
I know you feel me and can relate. How about this?
Many of the boxes are checked. The dreams and goals you had growing up are, or have come true. Some of them came easier than others.
You fulfill everybody’s wants and needs. You think you “should” be happy and everyone “should” be happy with you.
You are very grateful for what you have and the life you live….
But, there is this emptiness. This feeling of lack or hollowness.
There is also some contention, bitterness, and dissatisfaction.
This isn’t fun. Is this what life is supposed to be? There has to be more to life than this.
Then, there is this nagging thing that is always knocking at your back door but you try to avoid, ignore or forget about. But, it just won’t go away.
Maybe it is to lose XX pounds. Maybe it is to stop overdrinking. Maybe it is to finally start exercising, consistently. Or maybe it is to clean out a certain closet, file drawer, or get your endless amount of pictures organized. Or, maybe it is to finally write that book that you’ve always wanted to. Or, maybe it is time to connect and make amends with a certain person.
You know it needs to get done and you may or may not want to do it, but nonetheless, it feels overwhelming.
So instead you eat chips and cookies, have a glass of wine, or watch another episode on Netflix. Or even better, all three at the same time.
Sounds like a good plan. Right? NO!!
This is where I come in.
Life coaching changed my life. Learning from a life coach was like finding the missing puzzle pieces in my own puzzle of life. I suffer less, enjoy more, and live fully. I live my life by design with more confidence, contentment, and delight. I am an all around better, healthier person.
I am excited, proud, and honored to help you do the same. I help women (and willing and open-minded men) improve their lives through coaching and personal development.
Some of this work is easy. Some of it is really hard. But, all of the work is worth it.
I believe all of my life’s lessons, experiences, and education has prepared me to do this work. I am passionate about helping people, who want help, improve their lives.
I can help you get out of a rut, feel better, and live in integrity.
I can help you clarify, simplify, and manage your mind in order to create a life you want.
I can help you become more resilient, be mentally tougher, and increase your durability to face life’s challenges.
Wherever you are at, this isn’t it.
There’s more. A lot more.
Let’s find it. Let’s get it.
“If I get to experience or feel something, that means I am alive. I am grateful for that experience or feeling.”
